According to the BBC, it was the “most watched sporting event for their country on record.” The U.S. reports that it was the “second most watched event in American TV history”, trailing only the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. With viewership like this, chances are pretty good you watched at least 1 Olympic competitive event.
